Laurie Waugh

My name is Laurie Waugh.  I am the owner of Literacy Links. I am an educational language teacher with over 22 years of experience. I have proven ability to empower clients, develop learning methods and practical applications pertinent to acquiring English proficiency.  I have an aptitude for understanding the clients’ individualized needs and goals. I am an active listener who looks for opportunities to provide clients with positive feedback.  Clients’ self-esteem increases and they learn to self-advocate by developing functional skills and strategies for learning.
Operating a private practice allows me to identify and address clients’ needs; this allows them to become independent learners. As a language therapist, I am creative and think outside the box.  I take initiative and inspire clients to embrace their unique learning style and abilities.
